How to Create a Stage

When you log in, the Create Stage form appears on the left. Use it to add new stages (each stage is a standalone landing page).

  1. Stage Name
    A human-readable name shown in your stages table. Use something unique.

  2. Stage URL
    This becomes the slug appended to the base URL (e.g., app.videopage.com/<your-slug>).

    • Use only letters, numbers, and underscores between words.
    • No other special characters are supported (tracked links won’t work). Contact support if you need this.

  3. Upload Logo
    Use the file uploader to add your logo.

  4. Choose Colors

    • Header color: the top bar where your logo appears
    • Page background: the area behind the embedded video

  5. Enable Password (optional)

    • One reusable password per stage; no complexity rules.
    • The player won’t load until the password is entered.
    • Other password features aren’t supported yet—reach out if you’d like more.

  6. Add the Video URL
    Provide the embed URL (not full HTML) for your platform, or direct file URLs:

    • Vimeo — paste the embed video URL only (no <iframe>).
    • YouTube — paste the embed video URL only (no <iframe>).
    • M3U8 — paste the .m3u8 file URL (uses the built-in player; good for secure/CDN workflows and China).
    • MP4 — paste the .mp4 URL (uses the built-in player).

Tip: For AWS/Mux and similar, M3U8 usually gives the best adaptive playback.

How to Create an Account

Creating an account takes moments:

  1. Visit the sign-up page.
  2. Enter your email.
  3. Set a password.
  4. Click Create Account.

You’ll be logged straight in. New accounts get one free public stage; you can still create unlimited drafts, but only one page is accessible on the free tier.
