What is Datatruck?

Think of Datatruck as your AI agent for incoming data. Post a JSON payload from any form and Datatruck will summarise, tag, and deliver it to the right inboxes—automatically (with intelligent CCs of up to six recipients per form).

Guides

Create a New Route

  1. In the left sidebar, click New Route (or Create New Route in the middle of the page).
  2. Name your route and click Save.
  3. The route appears in the list on the left.

Get API Details

  1. Open your route and find the API Details card.
  2. Copy the URL shown there.
  3. Set Mode to Test and POST your form JSON to that URL.

Add a Trusted Source

After you’ve posted to the endpoint once:

  1. In the route view, you’ll see the Source the content came from.
  2. Add that origin as a Trusted Source, or add a domain manually.
  3. Only requests from Trusted Sources will be accepted.
  4. To remove one, click Delete on that Trusted Source.

Modes

  • Off — No data is accepted; requests are ignored.
  • Test — Use while testing your integration.
    • After a successful test (a valid JSON payload), the route will return to Off to prevent accidental intake.
  • Production — Live processing (available on paid accounts).

You must complete a successful Test before enabling Production.

Conditional Emails (AI-driven CC)

You can define conditional CC rules that fire based on the content of each submission.

Prerequisites:

  • You’ve tested the route (received at least one sample payload).
  • You’ve set your primary To email (the default recipient).

Then:

  1. Add up to five Topics (e.g., sales, job inquiry, support).
  2. For each Topic, set the CC email address.
  3. When a submission matches a Topic, Datatruck’s AI adds the corresponding CC automatically.
  4. If there’s no match, no CC is added.
